My pads and rotors on my 99 Civic (94,000 miles) need to be replaced tuga bear soon. This power seller on ebay is selling this package containing both Registered User front rotors and front ceramic pads for $103.According to his feedback he Joined: Sunday, 2nd of May 2010, 14:01:17 has sold a few of these packages before, his feedback score is also rather Posts: 327 high (96% positive of over 4,000 sales).
What are the chances Viewed 19490 times that these would not fit?People have advised me to not buy brake parts
online due to risking a possible bad fitment.l would not wanna go through
the trouble having to return them and pay shipping again/wait for refund,
etc.
Also, someone told me that whenever pads and rotors are
replaced it is wise to replace the bearings as well.l was unaware that
brake systems have bearings, is this true? And if so, do l have to replace
them? And would l also need to replace the calipers?l have no idea what a
caliper even is, however l am aware that it is a crucial part of the brake
system. When the rotors and pads are worn, do calipers also need to be
replaced?l really hope not as l do not wanna spend a lot. />Here is the link to the ebay auction for the rotors/pads package: /> />http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260300149150&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= /> Your advice is appreciated. Thanks!

OK, IF someone told you that ur brakes has bearings I think long legs mcgee they need to have their bearings checked. They might of ment ur wheel Registered User bearings , as far as the price for the pads & rotors, that is maybe a bit Joined: Sunday, 9th of May 2010, 04:37:13 much, contact NAPA just ask the how much for either mid grade cermanic or Posts: 871 ADO which is a new pad, rotors are not that pricey, depending on ur $ you Viewed 18708 times may be able to buy all for 125, brake pads may run you about 70.00 &
rotors about 25 each.; when you do the brake work, be SURE, that & slid
points are greased with a synthic brake grease, clean everything with a
can of brake clean. the calipers should not have to be replaced unless
thee is a leakage around one of the seals or line input. GOOD LUCK>>>>>

That is very cheap for a set of pads and rotors. I would taffy laffy suggest to pay a little more and get a brand name. I got rotors and pads Registered User from EBC for $180 and they are great with performance and are fairly Joined: Sunday, 13th of June 2010, 21:11:33 quiet. I wouldn't recommend drilled and slotted rotors unless you are Posts: 339 racing the car because it is not necessary and will only wear out quicker Viewed 6081 times and be louder for daily driving. If you want the best, longest lasting
rotors I would look into CRYO treated rotors but they go for $200/set.

You can beat this price at Auto Zone and have a warranty. Bubblezyum Personally, I would not worry about the calipers if not leaking. They are Registered User the hydraulics that actually set the brake pads. The price seems good and the seller also good. A few things Peaches though: Registered User He is sold mostly ALL brake and pad sets, so why would you think YOUR set Joined: Friday, 7th of May 2010, 10:25:47 wont' fit? AND, his feedback is 99.6% which is much better than 96%. Posts: 595 Viewed 12610 times If it were me, and the $103 PLUS shipping is less than I can spend in the
store, then I'd do it.
As for bearings, they are part of the axle not the brake system.
